Strategic Initiatives Manager

As a Strategic Initiatives Manager, you will play a critical role in driving key enterprise-wide initiatives. You will work closely with various stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and execute strategic initiatives that impact the organization.

  • Drive key enterprise-wide initiatives, including business planning and change management.
  • Identify key strategic issues facing the organization and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Conceptualize, design, and execute key enterprise-wide strategic initiatives by working with various stakeholders.
  • Forecast strategic and operational variables.
  • Simulate and create best-fit plans based on market profiles.
  • Monitor metrics relevant to strategic planning.
  • Responsible for managing periodical reporting of strategy performance.
  • Coordinate with internal functions for driving planning activities.

CXO Support:

  • Support and manage CXOs interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work on go-to-market strategies, annual business-wise plans (both annual and long-term) - Identify growth opportunities, both short term and long term.

Strategic Initiative PMO:

  • Lead and drive key strategic initiatives (PMO for strategic initiatives, which would be encompassing reporting/tracking activities to closure of a CXO-owned initiative – include management reviews and discussion forums).
  • Deliver and design key strategic initiatives, transformation agendas, and efficiency improvement projects with impact across the organization.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans for assigned tracks and ensuring their successful execution. Work closely with delivery teams and external consulting firms to ensure seamless project planning and execution.

Strategic Insights:

  • Develop business cases and strategic options based on industry insights, internal capabilities, financial models, ROI analysis to support planning initiatives.
  • Facilitate competition bench-marking, deal benchmarking, and prepare intelligent analysis on a periodic basis.
  • Prepare environment scans, competitor insights, and reports on customers and present the same periodically.
  • Conduct an internal consulting project to support units.
  • Support CXOs with briefing kits for any kind of engagement and other external stakeholders such as industry bodies, corporations, and educational institutions/universities.

Strategy Communication:

  • Manage all strategic communication from the CSO’s office and interaction with other stakeholders.
  • Keeping track of important industry updates and review changes/developments closely to assess impact.
  • Anchor business planning and operational reviews periodically: Support in preparing review decks and sharing insights with CXOs prior to reviews.

Capabilities/Skill Sets:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exercise considerable judgment in building relationships across all levels in the organization.
  • Work collaboratively across functions to create buy-in to achieve deliverables Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Work well under high pressure and produce timely deliverables in a fast-paced environment with good quality and end-user satisfaction.
  • Work well with ambiguity.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Should have a good understanding of data management and collection, modelling, and interpretation across complex datasets.
  • Good understanding of Financial statements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (including presentation skills), with attention to detail.
  • Should have excellent presentation skills and ability to convert strategic ideas into actionable and communicate them.
  • Strategic, analytical, statistical, and optimization background and lateral thinker.

Qualification:

Full-time MBA (preferably from tiered B-school) / CA.

Experience: Minimum 3 years PQE.
