
Head of Vertical Transportation Business Development

The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the Indian vertical transportation market, promoting local profile and driving sales.
Key responsibilities include building relationships with customers and regulators, leading professional teams in strategic locations, and delivering services according to management guidelines.
- Familiarize with the customer, competitor, authority, and regulation VT landscape in India
- Provide market input for updating and fine-tuning the VT strategy for India
- Develop a business development strategy to implement growth strategy provided by BU LCC and meet agreed sales targets
- Promote as a leading VT authority in India
- Create and identify sales leads through networking, proactive industry observation, and research, as well as effective sales channels
- Effective customer relationship management, understand customers' structure, needs, and constraints
- Scale the business through continuous extension of the customer base and customer retention
- Prepare sales presentations and sales materials in cooperation with the BU LCC and the marketing department
- Collaborate with global VT experts for joint customer presentations and visits
- Collaborate and coordinate with other subsidiaries (e.g., Hungary, Middle East)
- Monitor upcoming events such as trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences, and prepare and coordinate participation in coordination with the BU LCC and senior management
- Ensure smooth and efficient operations in accordance with QMS and to the full satisfaction of customers
- P&L responsibility for VT activities in India
- Prepare regular progress reports
- Resource planning and management
- Recruitment, development, and leading of further VT experts
- Educate VT experts on necessary training for individual roles and authorization levels and in accordance with their personal development plan
- Authorization management (internal) in accordance with QMS.

- Drive for shaping business development and sales activities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in relevant local languages and English (min. B2 level)
