Job Title: Service Engineering Specialist

Job Overview:

The role of the Service Engineering Specialist is a critical component in supporting technical experts with resolving Service Now tasks, focusing on main bearing-related issues. This individual is responsible for creating and maintaining information about failed components, updating management about potential serial defects, and ensuring efficient operation of the Service Engineering Teams.

This position involves dealing with unexpected situations and time-sensitive tasks, making it an exciting opportunity to work in a globally responsible team of technical experts within Global Service Engineering.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues between local business units and central business units.
  • Assign tasks along the technical support process.
  • Collect data about the performance of mechanical components of wind turbines.
  • Identify and report potential serial issues.
  • Evaluate risk potential, schedule necessary activities related to major non-conformities.
  • Support local business units in developing sustainable solutions regarding mechanical problems relating to wind turbine drive trains with distinctive technical expertise.
  • Create repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies.
  • Define, implement, and obtain service processes for mechanical assemblies.
  • Improve internal standards and processes, ensuring permanent knowledge transfer between departments and locations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Mechanical drive trains and roller bearings (design and development, fault condition evaluation, and error analysis).
  • Proven experience in project coordination or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with task prioritization ability.
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Good stakeholder management, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge in Teamcenter PLM, Windchill PLM, SAP, and troubleshooting.
