Senior Backend Developer Position

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling microservices with low-latency design and high-throughput for real-time hotel search and distribution.

  • Develop custom algorithms and data models to support pricing, availability, and inventory workflows.
  • Design and implement end-to-end modules from conception to rollout, collaborating closely with product and architect teams.
  • Leverage AI developer tools (Claude, Cursor) and Large Language Models via prompts, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and agents to accelerate development.
  • Participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline that supports frequent, reliable, and automated deployments.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

Key Skills:

  • Strong expertise with MySQL, MongoDB, or ScyllaDB.
  • Experience in designing distributed, event-driven systems using SQS, Kinesis; solid understanding of fault tolerance, backpressure, and scalability.
  • Familiarity with data consistency models, circuit breakers, internal Domain-Specific Languages, and low-latency API design.
  • Proficiency with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch; ability to tune systems for high throughput and sub-50ms latencies.
  • Comfortable working in a remote-first team with a culture of ownership, documentation, and asynchronous communication.
  • Passion for clean code, testability, and driving engineering excellence through automation and tooling.
