Job Title: Database Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform daily health checks on all databases and review their health and performance.
  2. Identify critical databases and ensure proactive monitoring for the same.
  3. Conduct regular system security reviews for all databases and deploy remedial measures post approval as required.
  4. Establish backup policies and implement the same for short term and long-term backup and retrieval for critical databases.
  5. Ensure HA configurations for critical databases.
  6. Replicate critical databases to DR as required.
  7. Monitor, manage databases and ensure timely backups for the same.

Requirements:

  1. The candidate should have 8 - 10 years of total experience with at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Senior DBA managing the above daily tasks.
  2. Should have been in a senior role in at least 2 projects / cycles of database implementation and maintenance.
  3. Should have excellent hands-on skills in deployment and maintenance of cloud RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and On-Prem Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Multilingual skills are a plus.
  5. Excellent planning and organizing skills.
