Data Governance Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Data Governance Specialist to take ownership of our data and lead enterprise-wide governance initiatives.

In this strategic role, you will be the primary authority on data governance within Anblicks—designing frameworks, driving adoption, and enabling trusted data for analytics, compliance, and AI initiatives.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to define and scale data governance practices, work with senior stakeholders, and influence data culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and administration of Collibra across the enterprise.
  • Design and configure the Collibra Operating Model (domains, assets, workflows, and roles).
  • Integrate Collibra with Snowflake, Informatica, Tableau, Azure, SAP, and other platforms via APIs/connectors.
  • Partner with data owners, stewards, and leadership to enforce governance policies and data stewardship models.
  • Establish frameworks for data cataloging, lineage, metadata, and quality management.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and best practices to business and technical teams.
  • Act as the Collibra SME and evangelist, promoting adoption and governance maturity across the organization.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other governance standards.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
  • ~5+ years of hands-on Collibra experience, including platform configuration, workflow design, and integrations.
  • ~ Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
  • ~ Expertise with Collibra APIs, BPMN, and scripting (Groovy, JavaScript).
  • ~ Experience with data catalog, business glossary, and lineage in Collibra.
  • ~ Familiarity with cloud data platforms: Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Informatica.
  • ~ Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale Collibra deployments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
  • Foundation in data architecture or data engineering.
