Key Responsibilities

Data Governance Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Data Governance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across various systems and applications.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordinating with data owners and other teams to identify root causes of data quality issues and implementing solutions.
  • Onboarding data from various internal/external sources into a central repository.
  • Collaborating with data owners/delegates on data analysis and development of data quality rules.
  • Working closely with IT to enhance data controls.
  • Analyzing business processes, data flows, and data usage to improve business productivity through re-engineering and data governance.
  • Interacting with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and address data-related needs and issues.
  • Documenting business requirements and use cases for data-related projects.
  • Managing change control processes and participating in user acceptance testing activities.
  • Implementing data governance frameworks as part of projects involved.
  • Developing expertise in data governance pillars such as data quality, data lineage, and metadata management.
  • Evaluating experiences working with BCBS239 principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong domain knowledge of investment banking data.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data management, data analytics, and data governance in financial services.
  • Experience in data analysis and profiling using SQL.
  • Knowledge of coding (Python is a plus).
  • Experience working with BI reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI (preferred).
