This is an opportunity for a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Corporate Chief Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of our engineering operations, ensuring that we deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high levels of operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive engineering strategies aligned with our business goals.
- Lead capital expenditure projects, including renovations and new builds, to enhance our properties' appeal and functionality.
- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for property-level engineering teams to measure performance and drive improvement.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize system functionality.
- Ensure optimal functioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Coordinate with resort teams to resolve issues promptly and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Drive energy conservation initiatives to reduce consumption and lower operational costs.
- Implement sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards to minimize environmental impact.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all properties to avoid fines and reputational damage.
- Conduct regular audits and mitigate risks proactively to protect guests and employees.
- Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams to develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Promote a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement to drive employee engagement and retention.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Advanced certifications in facility or energy management preferred but not required.
- At least 15 years of experience in hospitality engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities to inspire and motivate engineering teams.
- Expertise in building systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) tools to optimize maintenance and operations.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills to drive results and build trust with stakeholders.
- Energy consumption reduction through efficient use of resources.
- Regulatory compliance rate to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Guest satisfaction on facility standards to deliver exceptional experiences.
- Timely and budget-aligned project delivery to meet business objectives.
