Market Data Analyst/Engineer Role

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Market Data Analyst/Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and supporting market data systems to ensure high availability and performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be proficient in market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar, and have experience with data feed technologies and protocols (e.g., FIX, API).

In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address and resolve data discrepancies and outages. You will also assist in the onboarding of new data sources and the integration of market data into various platforms.

Additionally, you will provide technical support and training to end-users on market data tools and applications, and conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of experience in market data support or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and market data products.
  • Proficiency in market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar.
  • Experience with data feed technologies and protocols (e.g., FIX, API).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis and automation.
