Market Data Support Specialist

As a Market Data Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high availability and performance of market data systems. You will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to market data feeds, applications, and infrastructure.

Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors is key to resolving data discrepancies and outages. Your attention to detail will ensure that market data configurations, entitlements, and permissions are maintained and updated correctly.

You will also assist in the onboarding of new data sources and integrating market data into various platforms. Providing technical support and training to end-users on market data tools and applications is another essential aspect of this role.

Additionally, conducting regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with industry standards is crucial. Developing and maintaining documentation for market data processes, procedures, and support activities is also an important responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and troubleshoot market data systems to ensure high availability and performance

Required Skills & QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in market data support or a similar role within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and market data products
  • Proficiency in market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar
  • Experience with data feed technologies and protocols (e.g., FIX, API)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis and automation
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data services and platforms
