Life Science Market Data Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an analytical and business-oriented Market Data Specialist to join the Commercial Data & Analytics team, within the Pharma and Life Science industry. This role will be responsible for delivering actionable market insights through data analysis and supporting strategic and operational decision-making across global, regional, or business unit levels. The successful candidate will drive a culture of data-driven decisions by leveraging internal and external data sources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market sales data analyses using internal and external data (IQVIA, Nielsen, etc.) to deliver key business insights
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and BU stakeholders to support leadership reporting and decision-making
  • Interpret large datasets and identify trends, correlations, and insights relevant to business strategies
  • Promote data-driven decision-making by proactively communicating analytical findings across the organization
  • Support operational analytics, including market definition management and POS (point of sale) data integration
  • Design, update, and manage recurring and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to reflect key business metrics
  • Develop and maintain visual reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Snowflake
  • Coordinate and consolidate data collection from countries across Prescription, Consumer & Aesthetics portfolios
  • Ensure timely execution and delivery of data reports from structured databases
  • Assist in building and optimizing data models and workflows to enhance reporting efficiency

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Technology or comparable
  • 5+ years' experience as a Market / Sales Data Specialist, preferably supporting international pharma companies
  • Proficient with Excel and SQL
  • Proficient in analyzing data, trends and identifying patterns or arriving at root cause analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Power BI preferred
  • Successful track record in preparing data and querying databases
  • Strong visual and project management skills to represent analyses and findings to the business in a compelling way
  • Good communication skills to present analyses and findings to the business
  • Ability to mult-task, with strong management and stakeholder coordination skills
