Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and experience with CAD software.

  • Job Description:
  • Design and develop custom millwork projects, including casework, cabinetry and other custom woodwork.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to develop detailed and accurate mechanical millwork designs.
  • Create 3D models and generate 2D drawings using CAD software.
  • Conduct site visits to take measurements and gather information needed for design development.
  • Prepare material and hardware selection and produce accurate bills of materials.
  • Optimize designs for functionality, cost-effectiveness and adherence to project requirements.
  • Create production documents, including shop drawings, fabrication plans and installation instructions.
  • Review and modify designs based on feedback from team members, clients and quality control inspections.
  • Collaborate with the production team to address design-related issues during fabrication and installation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and new materials to enhance design capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • AutoCAD expertise and ability to work on architectural and furniture drawings.
  • Hands-on experience in panel optimization and production process management.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, ERP tools and 2020 Design Software for furniture design.
