About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end design processes, ensuring every product embodies functionality, aesthetics, cost efficiency, and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-depth field visits with utilities and AMISPs to engage stakeholders and identify real-world pain points.
  • Translating insights into comprehensive Design Requirements Documents that serve as blueprints for product development.
  • Developing minimalist, brand-consistent design languages that balance design innovation with ease of manufacturing, cost efficiency, and long-term usability.
  • Driving initiatives that reduce total cost of ownership while enhancing manufacturability and scalability.
Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field from a top-tier institution. A proven track record of translating customer and market insights into successful, user-centric product designs is essential. Additionally, the following skills are required:

  • Strong expertise in field research, usability studies, requirement gathering, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead small, high-performing design teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across technical and leadership levels.
