Procurement Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to manage our IT and non-IT procurement independently. This role involves managing the procurement process from initial enquiry to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage IT and non-IT procurement processes, including hardware, software, networking, security surveillance, and labour.
  • Develop and implement effective contract management strategies, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with OEMs and distributors to negotiate best rates and terms.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes, considering factors such as cost, credit, deliveries, and other necessary factors.
  • Conduct spend analysis and determine costs for materials.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best possible prices.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure manager approval.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and accounts for payment.
  • Monitor project and procurement status through MIS reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve vendor conflicts.
  • Stay informed about import and incoterm regulations (CIF/FOB).
  • Develop strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-7 years of relevant experience in IT industry, preferably in system integration.
  • Adequate knowledge of IT materials and market trends.
  • Experience dealing with OEMs and national distributors.
  • Background in IT/electronic project procurement.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Candidates with knowledge of electronics materials will be given preference.
