We invite applications from distinguished academicians and research professionals for key positions in the Optometry Department.

Candidates will contribute to academic excellence through teaching, clinical training, research, and leadership while adhering to UGC/AICTE/RCI norms and global best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Optometry and Vision Sciences (Refraction, Contact Lens, Low Vision Aids, Ocular Diseases, Pediatric Optometry, Clinical Optometry, etc.).
  2. Conduct laboratory sessions, clinical demonstrations, and hospital-based training.
  3. Mentor students in academic, clinical, and research competencies.
  4. Supervise internships, community outreach, and skill development programs.
  5. Develop innovative pedagogy, simulation-based training, and e-learning resources.
Research & Innovation
  • Undertake independent and collaborative research in Optometry, Vision Science, Eye Health, and allied areas.Secure external funding for research projects and innovation in eye care.Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, international rankings).Collaborate with eye hospitals, NGOs, and industry partners for clinical training and community vision care programs.Organize workshops, CME programs, and continuing education for optometry professionals.
Qualifications Experience:Minimum 8 years of teaching/clinical/research experience, with at least 3 years as Assistant Professor.Required Skills & Qualifications D. in Optometry/Vision Science/related discipline.Strong research orientation with proven publication record.Effective communication, mentoring, and clinical teaching skills.Leadership ability to foster academic and clinical excellence.Commitment to innovation, ethics, and community-oriented vision care.
