Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct the day-to-day operation of the Butler department, ensuring seamless execution of all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Direct the work assignment of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Monitor butlers to ensure residents receive prompt and courteous service, exceeding their expectations at every turn.
  • Inform other operating departments of matters concerning Butler operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Laundry, Sales, Food & Beverage, Reservations, and more.
  • Schedule and perform routine inspections of all butler areas, including occupied and non-occupied rooms, to maintain the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Inspect resident rooms and pantries on a regular basis to ensure amenities, resident preferences, and other points are taken care of flawlessly.
  • Appraise appearance, discipline, and efficiency of all staff under direct supervision, taking immediate remedial action if necessary.
  • Ensure that consumption of resident supplies is under control, minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling relevant procedures, including lost and found, key control, security, emergency procedures, health and safety for employees and residents.
  • Perform related duties and special projects assigned, always demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering the Fairmont touch.
