Job Title: Senior/Lead Physical Design Engineer

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Design Engineer to lead our digital IC design team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floorplanning, placement, routing, clock tree synthesis, and optimization.
  • They should be proficient in Innovus, ICC2, and Fusion Compiler for place and route, timing closure, and physical design sign-off.
  • Experience in floorplanning, placement, routing, clock tree synthesis (CTS), and static timing analysis (STA) is essential.
  • The successful candidate will focus on power, performance, and area (PPA) optimization.
  • They will conduct DRC, LVS, and parasitic extraction for clean designs.
  • A strong understanding of advanced process nodes, such as 7nm or lower, is required.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with design, verification, and manufacturing teams.
  • They will drive the tape-out process and ensure high-quality designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in physical design engineering.
  • Preferred: Experience with DFM, DFT, and advanced packaging technologies.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like TCL, Perl, or Python for automating design tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities: To lead digital IC design team, optimize power, performance, and area, conduct DRC, LVS, and parasitic extraction, and drive the tape-out process.
