Senior IT Software Asset Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in databases to support business operations, software compliance, contracts, and cost management.
  • Develop and provide reporting to address management requirements for obtaining information.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, management, developers, and vendors through various channels, including email, meetings, and presentations.
  • Provide timely responses to requests from stakeholders for specific IT Software Asset Management data.
  • Facilitate ongoing technical support and upgrade protection for selected products by ensuring maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed in advance of their expiration dates.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings on renewals, software licensing, and services, and follow through with suppliers.
  • Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
  • Collect and analyze information for budgeting, software compliance inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.

Technical Requirements:

  • Familiarity with License Management and compliance tools like Flexera and ServiceNow.
  • Exposure to ITSM and ITAM frameworks and tools.
  • Able to learn quickly and retain large quantities of information.
  • Effective prioritization and project management using appropriate methodologies and tools.
  • Innovative problem solver who encourages collaborative problem-solving and acts as a consultant for resources.
