IT Administrator Job Description

We are seeking an IT administrator to provide technical support and maintain our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Maintain computers, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Install and update software across the company's systems.
  • Troubleshoot basic IT problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Ensure regular data backups and contribute to the company's data security efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, issues, and resolutions.
  • Monitor and maintain the company's local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity.
  • Support basic IT security tasks, such as ensuring antivirus updates and security patches are applied.

Requirements:

  • BSc degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support or administration is required.
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of network concepts, hardware components, and office productivity software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills are essential.

Added Advantage:

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals can be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure can be advantageous.
