Job Title: Network Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Network Support Specialist. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service and has a strong background in network protocols and concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone, chat, and email support to customers, applying consistent handling processes and logging and tracking all communications received into the ticketing system.
  • Establish a quality working relationship with customers, following defined standards to resolve specific problems and collecting and following up on escalated issues.
  • Research and resolve caller inquiries by utilizing established procedures, user manuals, accessing online applications, or interacting with internal and external support groups.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and communications issues by interacting with application end-users, application engineers, system engineers, and hardware/software vendors.

Technical Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Experience: Strong knowledge and experience with network protocols and concepts, including SSH, FTP, ICMP, TCP/IP (IPv4 & IPv6), Network Address Translation (NAT), SNMP, IPSec, GRE, QoS, and VLANs.
  • Interpretation Skills: Ability to interpret output from network traffic analysis tools such as Ethereal (Wireshark).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Effective interpersonal and consulting skills to align customer needs to tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Hardware Expertise: Hands-on experience with Meraki and Fortinet firewalls.
  • Teamwork: Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic team environment.
