Mortgage Pre-Closing Specialist

As a key player in the mortgage process, you will review loan packages and create Initial and subsequent Closing Disclosures (CDs). You will coordinate with Title and Settlement agents to ensure timely closing and accuracy of data in the CD.

Job Description
  • Review 3-4 year experience in preparing Initial and Final closing documents
  • Request fees from settlement agent and perform fee analysis
  • Prepare Prelim closing disclosure. Issue initial closing disclosures/re-disclosures to client
  • Solid and detailed knowledge of Conventional Loans; Closing and Legal Documents; Disclosure Documents; Credit Documents; Insurance Documents; MDIA Disclosure timing and APR rules and TILA/RESPA LE/CDs/ICDs
  • Review flood insurance/flood certifications, Title commitment, ownership of deed, Loan approval, tax cert and prelim closing disclosures
  • Closely monitor individual closing pipeline, workload and volume levels for maximum balance and efficiency
  • Review Power of Attorneys (POA)
  • Review Cash to close
  • Create closing documents and monitor required waiting periods
  • Request preclosing audit prior to Closing
  • Deliver final closing documents
  • Review final closing documents and clear to fund
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent for US Operation and graduation degree for India Operations with 18 months of experience in preparing Initial and Final closing documents
  • Knowledge of commonly used mortgage concepts, practices, procedures and Fannie Freddie guidelines to complete his task
  • Working knowledge with any Loan origination systems
  • Basics knowledge to work on MS offices tools
