Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sourcing function, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Source and evaluate new vendors based on price, quality, delivery, and reliability.
  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers and keep supplier profiles updated.
  • Conduct site visits or assessments as needed.

Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Request and analyze quotations from multiple vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Support in contract preparation and ensure all terms are adhered to.

Inventory Coordination:

  • Raise purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with inventory teams for demand forecasting and order planning.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure proper documentation of sourcing activities, contracts, and transactions.
  • Comply with organizational procurement policies and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies, claims, or quality issues with vendors.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track and report on cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement metrics.
  • Provide inputs for budget planning and cost optimization initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement roles.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Attention to detail and time management
