Job Overview

Vedanta's Aluminium Business is a leading producer of aluminium at 2.3 million tonnes per annum.

The company is rapidly scaling its efforts to become a fully integrated, global leader in aluminium production.

This role will play a crucial part in commencing new mines to achieve the vision of expanding bauxite and coal operations.

  • Resource Modelling, Pit Optimization, Scheduling are key tasks.
  • DPR preparation for mining blocks is essential.
  • Preparation of Mining Plan (Statutory and operational) is required.
  • Conduct various scoping studies, coordinate and undertake feasibility studies, HEMM requirements.
  • Undertake exploration programme including in-fill drilling to capture desired quality and quantity from the mine.
  • Liaise with state and central government authorities for clearances and approvals.
  • Responsible for providing necessary data inputs for Forest and Environmental Clearance.
Candidate Profile:
  • 60% and above throughout education is expected.
  • A B.Tech / M.Tech (Mining Engineer) with experience in similar roles is preferred.
  • Knowledge & exposure to project planning & tracking tools like MS Project, Primavera, MS Office, Auto-CAD, documentation management is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mining approvals, commencement and mining operations is essential.
  • Strong understanding of statutory clearances and relevant Acts, regulations & Government guidelines is necessary.
