Job Description

As a key player in the scrap metal trading industry, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Scrap Metal Trader to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Sourcing: Identify and acquire high-quality scrap metal from various suppliers.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and buyers.
  • Sales: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transportation and logistics of scrap metal shipments.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  3. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of market dynamics.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
