Senior IT Leadership Role

The position of Associate Director of Information Technology is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of information technology strategies to support organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee all hardware and software deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support based on innovation and IT infrastructure strategy.
  • Design and implement configuration and monitoring standards for network performance and ensure controls are maintained.
  • Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals, researching innovation and IT applications necessary to meet user needs.
  • Analyze complex innovation and IT business needs and recommend technical solutions.
  • Develop plans for implementing new projects, coordinating deliverables with project leaders and stakeholders.
  • Develop or assist in developing IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Ensure compliance with and maintain IT policies and procedures.
  • Design, configure, and optimize hardware, operating systems, network, storage, and backup devices for reliability, availability, and performance in a physical or virtual environment.
  • Manage Active Directory and Citrix.
  • Implement management tools, including monitoring, security, backup tools.
  • Configure and supervise network solutions, including firewall configuration, routing, IPsec tunnels, remote access VPN access.
  • Diagnose and resolve application delivery issues via Citrix and AWS.
  • Coach and direct IT staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with company needs and approved budget.
  • Manage IT staff, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain awareness of changing innovation and IT trends, best practices, and regulations impacting operational efficiency and business continuity.
  • Participate in hardware and software evaluations along with vendor contracts.
  • Make purchasing recommendations and monitor contracted services performance.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost-benefit analysis for IT budgeting.
  • Develop an IT annual budget, justifying when needed. Review and compare actual results to planned budgetary performance.
  • Direct management on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of IT's new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.
  • Ensure secure processes to access information using available technology.
  • Oversee end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Perform liaison duties between users, operations in areas of systems design, modifications, or troubleshooting.
  • Possess and communicate a clear vision for IT with all stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Lead and coordinate work related to incident tickets and requests for resolution within agreed SLAs.
  • Train first-level support personnel to close any open incidents correctly and promptly.
  • Manage the calendar related to recurrent IT activities.
  • Work with other IT teams and third-party vendors for problem resolution.
  • Manage the execution of IT study archival requests, exports, and other activities.
  • Ensure the team performs their work in compliance with policies and SOPs.
  • Provide second-level escalation and after-hours support.
