Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our accounting team.

Your duties will include supervising bookkeeping processes, overseeing VAT filings and payroll processing, as well as preparing management accounts and finalizing year-end accounts.

You will also lead and mentor the bookkeeping team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise bookkeeping processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP
  • Oversee preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Ensure accurate and compliant VAT returns and payroll processing in line with UK regulations
  • Develop and refine internal processes to improve team efficiency and service quality
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in UK accounting standards, including FRS 102
  • Proven expertise in bookkeeping, payroll, VAT compliance, and preparation of management and final accounts
  • Experience in accounts payable and receivable management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Proficient in commonly used UK accounting software (e.g., Xero, Quick Books) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and team management skills
