Job Overview

The Director of Strategic Initiatives will lead the development and implementation of impactful initiatives that drive responsible AI governance and enterprise AI leadership.

This role requires a visionary strategist and hands-on operator who can manage complex, cross-functional projects, secure partnerships, and ensure timely execution.

  • Portfolio Management:
  • Prioritize initiatives based on impact, ROI, and strategic value.
  • Build and maintain a phased roadmap.
  • Monitor progress, risks, and ensure deliverables are on track.
  • Execution & Delivery:
  • Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to execute initiatives.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and KPIs.
  • Ensure initiatives launch on schedule.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with global policymakers, enterprise executives, event organizers, and sponsors.
  • Present progress updates to leadership, sponsors, and partners.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, agencies, and external collaborators.
  • Sponsorship & Revenue Enablement:
  • Support sponsorship strategy by aligning initiatives with partner goals.
  • Ensure deliverables for sponsors are met with excellence.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Oversee initiative managers, consultants, and team members.
  • Establish clear goals, dashboards, and reporting systems.
Key Qualifications
  • 10 – 15 years of experience in program management, strategic initiatives, or operations, ideally in AI, technology policy, or global nonprofits.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale programs and complex initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of AI, governance, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional project management skills with ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
  • Experience working with corporate sponsors, government partners, or international organizations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and take ownership of outcomes.
