Our company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing and Accounts Associate to support our finance team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage our billing and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment follow-up, and record-keeping. This role will involve generating invoices, checking prices, discounts, and taxes, and applying payments to the correct invoices.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Billing: Generate monthly invoices for subscriptions and usage, including voice minutes, WhatsApp, Google Rich Communication Services, and telephony.
  2. Collections: Send reminders, make follow-up calls/emails, record promises to pay, and escalate risks to the team.
  3. Cash Application and Reconciliations: Download daily settlements from payment gateways and banks, apply each receipt to the right invoice, and clear short payments or unknown receipts within the agreed timeline.
  4. Taxes and Compliance: Assist with creating Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliant invoices, manage e-invoicing and the e-invoice reference number, verify Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) details, and collect certificates.
  5. Usage and Partner Pass-throughs: Collate monthly usage from systems and partner portals, match partner costs to customer billing, and flag any gaps that affect margins.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably with a specialization in finance.
  • 0–2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or collections.
  • Basic understanding of invoicing, GST, e-invoicing, and TDS is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills, comfortable using accounting tools, and familiar with a customer relationship management system.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, firm yet customer-friendly approach to collections.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and eager to learn.

Succeeding Metrics:

  • On-time billing and invoice accuracy.
  • Percentage of payments collected by due dates; average days taken to collect payments.
  • Aging of unpaid invoices (especially those pending over 60–90 days).
  • Number of disputes and the time taken to resolve them.
  • Amount of receipts not yet matched to invoices, cleared within the agreed timeline.
