Job Title: Collection Management Expert

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in collection management, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies for managing outstanding debts.

About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Collection Manager to oversee the accounts receivable process and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement debt collection strategies
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and determine appropriate actions
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers and resolve disputes
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and interactions
  • Analyze delinquent accounts and prepare reports on collections status
  • Implement credit policies and procedures to minimize late payments or non-payment
  • Collaborate with legal counsel or external agencies as needed

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CS)
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to accounts receivable and collections
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset to assess data and develop effective collection strategies
  • Familiarity with collection software and tools for managing accounts receivable
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle challenging situations professionally and ethically
