Middleware Administrator Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled Middleware Administrator to join our team.
\

The ideal candidate will have experience with cluster architecture and deployment, as well as design, deployment, and management of RabbitMQ and Kafka clusters. They should also be proficient in configuring brokers, exchanges, queues, topics, partitions, replication, and retention policies.

Responsibilities:

\
  • Design and deploy RabbitMQ and Kafka clusters across on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Configure brokers, exchanges, queues, topics, partitions, replication, and retention policies.
  • Monitor platform health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka Manager, and RabbitMQ Management UI.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues such as latency, stale messages, and downtime.
  • Implement access control, authentication, encryption, and RBAC/ACL policies.
  • Enforce data governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize throughput, latency, and resource usage through fine-tuning broker and pipeline configurations.
  • Plan for future scaling capacity.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting and IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Design and maintain backup, restore, and failover strategies to achieve high availability.
  • Work with development, DevOps, and data engineering teams to align middleware integration with business requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience with cluster architecture and deployment.
