Business Development Manager for Public Sector Growth

You will be part of a dynamic team driving Public Sector engagements, passionate about digital transformation and transparency. This role offers the opportunity to interact with government agencies, academia, and senior management through cross-functional teamwork, engaging in matrix-managed projects that directly impact business growth within various accounts across India.

The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of Cisco's portfolio as well as the wider software and services landscape. They are encouraged to leverage this expertise to develop solutions and scope services opportunities based on customer and sales requirements in specific vertical market environments, focusing on Public Sector clients.

This is an independent, self-motivated position that requires proactive and multi-tasking skills with a program management mindset to resolve conflicts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate and position Cisco's business and operational value and capabilities to Government sector stakeholders. A proven track record of developing and winning solutions contracts (multi-million dollars) in the Public Sector market segment is essential.

  • Key Qualifications:
  • Management professional with direct experience in solution development delivery, project management, and business development
  • At least 10 years of Business development experience in Government - Central & or State and PSU sectors
  • Able to identify and position solution offerings and solutions built by the DTO organization
  • Ability to manage and orchestrate sophisticated large-scale cross-functional (internal and external teams) projects/programs with a focus on results
  • Working knowledge of technology trends and innovations in Digital transformation specifically within the Government Sector
  • A proven track record to build the link between technology and business impact, with strong understanding of business processes and operations
  • Experience working with NITI Aayog, Public Sector Consultants, Bureaucracy, Big 4 would be an added advantage
