Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Application Packaging Specialist to support the packaging and testing of applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with packaging tools such as PSADT (PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit) and SCCM or Intune for deployment. This engineer will work closely with application owners and IT operations teams to ensure reliable, secure and compliant application delivery.

This role involves repackaging applications into MSI, MST or App-V formats, creating application packages using PSADT tool, participating in testing and validation of application packages in lab and UAT environments, documenting packaging steps, testing results and installation guidelines, supporting deployment through SCCM/Intune and resolving packaging-related issues. Additionally, this role will coordinate with requestors or application owners for requirements gathering.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Windows Installer technology
  • Highly experienced in packaging tools like Admin Studio, Installshield, Orca and troubleshooting tools like PicTaker, Beyond Compare, ACT, etc.
  • Experience in handling packages with drivers, certificates, services, permissions, etc.
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting & PSADT
  • Experience in SCCM/Intune for deployment.
  • Understanding of dependencies, DLLs, registry, and custom actions.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
