Fraud Prevention Specialist

We seek a skilled Fraud Prevention Specialist to manage and resolve customer disputes and fraud cases, focusing on chargeback processes. This role requires strong knowledge of card network rules, excellent analytical skills, and efficient case workloads.

This includes reviewing, investigating, and resolving fraud and dispute cases according to Mastercard chargeback rules and internal policies. Analyzing transaction data and supporting documentation is also essential in determining case validity and liability.

Effective communication with internal teams, issuing banks, acquirers, and merchants is crucial for timely dispute resolution. Identifying patterns and emerging fraud trends, escalating insights to fraud prevention teams, and maintaining accurate records and reporting of dispute activities are also key responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in fraud, disputes, or chargebacks, with in-depth knowledge of Mastercard chargeback rules and dispute life cycle. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required, as well as the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

  • Experience working in financial institutions, fintechs, or payment processors.
  • Knowledge of both issuer and acquirer dispute processes.
  • Professional certifications in fraud or payments (e.g., CFE, CAFP) a plus.
