Department Overview

Our Lease Accounting Team is part of Portfolio Management. Our goal is to ensure compliance with new lease accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP) for clients worldwide. You will have the opportunity to provide an end-to-end process to ensure seamless transition into the new standard. Your input will enable undisturbed ongoing reporting, providing reliable data for client financial reporting purposes, including financial statements and disclosure reporting.

Role Purpose

  • You will take on the responsibility for communication with clients, overseeing document preparation and providing accounting calculations under IFRS / US GAAP to clients and team members.
  • Analysis and reporting according to IFRS 16/ ASC 842.
  • Building strong relationships and supporting client-side real estate / finance teams with regular reporting and addressing ad-hoc queries / information requests.
  • Playing a significant role in assisting with Financial & Accounting Reporting & providing expertise on real estate analyses.
  • Validating and verifying data while conducting qualitative analyses.
  • Participating in Lease Accounting process refinement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To apply, you need to possess:

  • Fluent English language skills. Any second foreign language would be an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS 16 / ASC 842 topics is required.
  • Financial and accounting acumen, being in the process of ACCA / CFA certification or equivalent would be beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting or Economics.
  • At least five years of work experience within the finance and accounting area.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, elements of VBA would be advantageous.
  • People-orientation, with demonstrated conceptual and visualization skills.
  • Very good organizational skills.
  • Strongly developed communication skills.
  • Analytical mind, accuracy and can-do attitude.
  • Creative and pragmatic mindset.
