Job Summary:

This is a critical role in financial management, requiring expertise in end-to-end accounting and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting processes with a team to ensure accuracy and timely completion of books of accounts
  • Oversee operational finance functions, including account receivable/accounts payable, payroll, and compliance
  • Finalize trial balances and provisions on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Provide clear visibility through dashboards and financial statements for statutory reporting and internal purposes
  • Forecast cash flow positions, borrowing needs, and available funds for expense and investment
  • Manage external relationships with stakeholders, partners, and agencies
  • Participate in audits and liaise with auditors to ensure smooth and timely process
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3+ years of experience in similar roles with small-medium sized companies or technology start-ups
  • Prior experience working in e-commerce accounting is an added advantage
  • Building the finance function from scratch for a scaling commerce company is exciting
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and problem-solve for new aspects
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Hands-on approach to financial management and strategy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
