Event Leader Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic event leader to spearhead the planning, execution, and growth of high-impact events that align with our mission.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale events and community programs. They will possess strong organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in event planning and execution, preferably in EdTech, social impact, or startup ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Design and implement an annual events calendar aligned with strategic goals.
  • Execution:
    • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, logistics, and staffing.
    • Ensure seamless delivery of both in-person and virtual events using tools like Zoom, Hopin, or Airmeet.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Build and nurture relationships with universities, corporates, NGOs, and ecosystem partners.
    • Drive participation and engagement through creative campaigns and community outreach.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage a team of event coordinators, interns, and volunteers.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, and product teams.
  • Performance & Reporting:
    • Track KPIs such as attendance, engagement, feedback, and ROI.
    • Prepare post-event reports and continuously improve event experiences.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with sustainability, social entrepreneurship, or career development domains.
  • Experience with hybrid event platforms and digital engagement tools.
