
Strategic Growth Manager

This role is responsible for developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and revenue. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, create new customer insights, and stay ahead of the competition.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop deep understanding of customer behavior and create actionable insights
- Co-own P&L, develop business model, and prioritize opportunities based on size, internal capabilities, etc.
- Stay on top of industry trends, find opportunities, and ensure our selection stays well ahead of the competition
- Understand online and offline players and maintain a strong market position
- Liaise with cross-functional leadership to convert strategies into action and drive required changes
- Develop deep relationships with vendors to drive strategic and tactical partnerships
- Owning the terms of business with vendors, including products, returns, ordering, etc.
- Ensure high share of mind from vendors and build deep ties
- Making vendors partners in driving disruptive changes for the category
- Develop thorough knowledge of the market, short-term and long-term trends
- Holding in-depth knowledge of competition, vendors, and ability to influence the market
- Implementing industry best practices and moving the industry forward
- Managing buying cost improvement and overall portfolio management
- Manage in-store promotions with brands, making them partners in customer communication
- Driving portfolio management for best offers and discounts for customers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational background: Graduation/MBA
- Knowledge of Retail, Consumer Goods Industry (a plus)
- Ability to think like the customer
- Translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion
- Highly analytical
- Will to take calculated risks to grow the category
- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of technology and business
- Must be willing to learn
- Ability to connect with people across teams & levels
- Strong bias for Action - rapid pace environment
