Job Title: Application Support Engineer

The role of an Application Support Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the seamless functioning of software and hardware systems. The engineer will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Access Control and CCTV systems' software and all backend hardware.

This entails application servers across various offices globally, necessitating a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. The engineer must possess a keen analytical mind to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues effectively.

  • Provide technical support for Access Control and CCTV systems, addressing user queries and resolving system-related problems efficiently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues pertaining to Access Control CCTV systems and other applications, employing expert knowledge and tools as required.
  • Deliver remote support to internal clients on system configuration, facilitating efficient troubleshooting and resolution processes.
  • Identify and analyze system failures, providing comprehensive support to on-site technicians for break-fix tasks.
  • Track system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Elevate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams, fostering collaboration and swift resolution processes.
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals at a dedicated file depository/knowledgebase.

Key Requirements:

  • Profound knowledge of Access Control and CCTV systems, including software and hardware configurations.
  • Substantial experience in installation and maintenance of Access Control and CCTV Systems.
  • Experience with CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software, along with related hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise CCTV systems like Intellicene (Cognyte/Verint) Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server Operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2016, 2019).
  • Skilled in SQL and Power Shell programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, coupled with analytical thinking and expertise in reverse engineering.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Motivated self-starter with exceptional multitasking abilities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree in Electronics or Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
