Junior Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Accountant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with audits. They will also process invoices, prepare balance sheets, handle payroll, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

About the Role:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by processing transactions, recording journal entries, and performing account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyses that provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of accounts by investigating discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in audits by providing financial information, answering questions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Process invoices and payments by verifying expenses, coding transactions, and ensuring timely payment.
  • Prepare balance sheets and other financial documents by analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Handle payroll and benefits administration by processing payrolls, managing employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Financial record-keeping and report preparation skills with knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial software applications.
  • Experience in handling payroll and processing invoices with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • General understanding of financial regulations and compliance with knowledge of tax laws and labor regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and basic computer applications with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3-5 years' experience in a similar role advantageous.
