Marine Fleet Coordinator Role

This is a full-time on-site position for a Marine Fleet Coordinator located in Mumbai. The Marine Fleet Coordinator will oversee daily operations of the fleet, coordinate with various departments, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and assist in the scheduling and execution of voyages.

The role also involves managing documentation, liaising with clients, and supporting the team in achieving operational efficiency.

Fleet Operations Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all vessels under time charter meet the terms and conditions of the charter party by monitoring daily noon reports/position reports and coordinating with the master of the vessels.
  • Tracking bunker consumption of the vessels on a daily basis.
  • Collecting cargo documents from the vessel at every load/discharge port.
  • Evaluating and analyzing vessel performance in the charterers' performance format.
  • Preparing freight invoices and evaluating demurrage claims as per the charter party and following up with charterers for timely payment.
  • Ensuring that deck and engine logs (containing sea passage performance) are sent to charterers within stipulated time.
  • Issuing monthly charter hire invoices, freight invoices, bunker reimbursement invoices, and demurrage invoices to charterers and/or brokers – timely submission and follow-ups.
  • Assisting the Vessel Operation Superintendent in day-to-day work for smooth vessel operation.
  • Selecting, appointing, and approving agents' PDA and FDA.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
