Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nautical Engineering Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital solutions for container ships.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in naval architecture, ship design, and vessel digital twin development. You will work closely with data scientists to build predictive models for fuel consumption, vessel hydrodynamic performance, and other critical parameters.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse container ship operations data to identify trends and patterns.">
  • Develop digital twin models for large container vessels, including fuel performance curves, vessel hydrodynamic stability, and safety thresholds.">
  • Collaborate with data scientists to build AI/ML solutions for predicting vessel speed, overconsumption alerts, and fouling margins.">
  • Design and develop visualisation tools for end-users to interact with vessel digital twins.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 12-20 years of experience in naval architecture and ship design.">
  • Hands-on experience in building or running solutions like vessel digital twins, vessel hydrodynamic simulations, and fuel consumption curves.">
  • Excellent knowledge of data science subjects, including simulation, optimization, and ML models.">
  • Strong consulting skills, including leadership, problem-solving, and communication.">
  • Able to guide teams on developing analytics solution blueprints to client problems.">
