Job Description:

The role of the Strategic Policy Lead is pivotal in navigating the intersection of regulation, business strategy, and policy advocacy. This position demands creativity, analytical rigor, and a profound understanding of regulatory frameworks.

The individual will act as both a strategic analyst and an execution partner to the Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO), helping to frame policy narratives, manage external engagement, and guide internal stakeholders on regulatory implications that affect diverse businesses across telecom, digital, financial services, entertainment, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and articulate policy positions across telecom, broadcasting, financial services, entertainment, and digital ecosystems.
  • Track, monitor, and analyze competition, market, and regulatory trends & provide strategic updates to support policy advocacy.
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations, regulatory submissions, and communication strategies to influence key stakeholders.
  • Standardize reporting mechanisms to track regulatory engagements and advocacy outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within the Regulatory team and other cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Product, Network, Ops, etc.) to ensure alignment of business goals with evolving regulatory priorities.
  • Support the CRO in prioritization, resource planning, and coordination of high-impact projects across multiple business lines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong policy, legal, and regulatory acumen in telecom and digital industries.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Must have the ability to create compelling arguments in both technical and non-technical language.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Lateral thinker with a problem-solving mindset and intellectual creativity.
  • Proven track record of stakeholder management across policymakers, regulators, and cross-functional business teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Law, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 2–3 years of experience in policy, research, or a related strategic function, preferably in telecom, digital, or technology-driven sectors.
  • Strong understanding of India's telecom, digital, and data policy landscape; international exposure will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
