Strategic Policy Expert

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and track emerging trends, develop actionable strategies, and engage with industry associations, think tanks, and academia to inform our public policy initiatives.

This role requires exceptional communication skills, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of government policies, laws, and regulations that impact digital businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with policymakers, regulators, and government stakeholders to advance our policy objectives.
  • Lead advocacy and representation efforts across industry associations, think tanks, and other collective forums to strengthen our position in sectoral policy debates.
  • Proactively identify new and emerging policy issues and develop well-researched policy positions and recommendations to address them.
  • Engage with think tanks, civil society organizations, and academia to shape important policy developments.

Requirements:

  • Master's level degree in Law/Economics/Political Science/Public Policy/Business/International Affairs or similar field.
  • Minimum 3 to 6 years' experience working with government, think tanks, public interest groups, or in the corporate public policy field.
  • Strong experience in managing relationships with industry associations and advocacy platforms.
  • Ability to review and evaluate legislation and technical policy documents.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of telecom, technology, data privacy frameworks, and laws that impact digital businesses.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team across multiple tasks and locations.
  • Effective prioritization framework to focus on the right problems.
