Job Summary:

This role involves ensuring material availability at isolated valve plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing strategies to achieve a 95% request date service level and managing purchase requisitions in a timely manner.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Extract open PO reports and convert PRs to POs
  • Collaborate with suppliers to acknowledge and confirm POs
  • Update ERP systems with confirmation dates
  • Communicate with plant teams on specific queries related to POs
  • Check supply and demand to decide on items for release to replenish stock
  • Implement exception messages in SAP, Oracle, and plant ERPs
  • Liaise with suppliers to manage deliveries and maintain promise dates
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to improve material availability
  • Lead supplier relationship management processes to enhance RDSL performance
  • Work with finance to ensure on-time payments to suppliers
  • Complete material master setup and associated activities
  • Convert MRO items from PRs to POs
  • Validate supplier lead times based on delivery schedules
  • Coordinate material master data audits in ERPs
  • Communicate with plant buyers on actions and resolutions
  • Support the team in preparing monthly/quarterly/annual management reports for customers and suppliers
  • Raise supplier delivery issues to PIC managers and planning teams
  • Stay up-to-date on parked/blocked invoice reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Negotiate with vendors to acquire best costs and delivery requirements while supporting inventory turns

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in purchasing/procurement/supply chain or related fields
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, supply chain management, contracting, procurement, and supplier management skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
  • Excellent digital literacy and technical proficiency in data gathering, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and management
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain management, engineering, business management, or related fields
  • Experience in project management and certification are an added advantage
