Raw Material Store Specialist

The Raw Material Store Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our organization's inventory management system. This key position is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to stringent safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the raw material store, including receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials.
  • Ensure all raw materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical versus system stock to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials without disrupting production processes.
  • Implement a First-In-First-Out (FIFO)/First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) system for material issuance to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Monitor storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, and cleanliness, to maintain raw material quality and integrity.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements related to raw material handling and storage.
  • Manage documentation, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), stock registers, bin cards, and SAP/ERP entries, to maintain accurate records and facilitate auditing.
  • Identify slow-moving, non-moving, or expired raw materials and coordinate their proper disposal according to established guidelines.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and store readiness.
  • Train and supervise store assistants/handlers on material handling, safety, and SOP adherence to enhance overall store efficiency and effectiveness.
