About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to join our team at BASF India Limited. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion in the chemical industry.

Job Description
  • Develop Long-Term Customer Relationships: Foster lasting relationships with existing customers to identify business trends and opportunities beyond their current scope.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, providing accurate forecasts and supporting efficient planning of products and services.
  • Solution Identification and Negotiation: Identify customer requirements and offer tailored solutions, negotiating and closing deals or contracts while providing operational guidance and support.
  • New Customer Acquisition: Identify and attract new customers, pursue new applications, and interact with potential customers' process and product developers to drive profitable future business.
Key Account Management (CPL & CPR)
  • Account Ownership: Take ownership of key accounts, developing and executing account strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Long-Term Business Relationships: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, serving as a liaison between the account and BASF departments.
Requirements
  • Education: Chemical Engineering, minimum B. Tech / equivalent
  • Working Experience: Minimum 5 ~ 8 years in the chemical industry
  • Professional Knowledge: B2B sales, commodities/specialties market dynamics
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is ₹12,00,000 - ₹20,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
