Actuarial Specialist Rate Filing Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Specialist to join our team and assist with rate filing responsibilities.

  • This role will involve conducting independent research, analyzing data, and presenting findings as assigned.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with our team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for US markets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Key Requirements:
  • Understanding the current state of affairs and problem statement
  • Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements, and transforming that into business framework and providing actuarial solutions for Pricing Non Life
  • Experience in data extraction and manipulation in Excel, R, Python, SAS, Emblem/RADAR, ResQ
  • Knowledge of General Insurance domain and P&C actuarial concepts is a must

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, or actuarial sciences
  • Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 5-9 CT actuarial exams
  • 3-6 years' experience, with good understanding of P&C actuarial concepts – Core Pricing Rate Experience is preferred
  • Strong ability to learn technical and business knowledge
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Prior experience in similar roles would be beneficial, but not essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be regularly reviewed and discussed with the successful candidate. This will ensure that both parties are aware of expectations and goals.
