Job Title: Captain of Organizational Growth and Development

We are seeking a seasoned Learning and Development professional to lead our organization's strategic and operational learning function across multiple manufacturing locations in India.

This role will drive organizational capability, leadership development, and talent readiness through the creation and execution of Management Development Centers (MDCs), Assessment Centers, and Capability Building Frameworks aligned with business goals.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in setting up and leading L&D initiatives, with a focus on driving business outcomes and improving employee capabilities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and Implementing a Pan-India L&D Strategy: Develop a comprehensive strategy that aligns with business transformation and growth objectives.
  • Establishing and Operationalizing MDCs and Assessment Centers: Spearhead the creation and execution of MDCs and Assessment Centers to support leadership pipeline development.
  • Driving Organizational Capability Building: Lead the development and implementation of capability-building programs across technical, behavioral, and leadership domains.
  • Talent and Leadership Development: Design and execute succession planning frameworks, high-potential talent programs, and customized learning journeys for different employee segments.
  • Learning Infrastructure and Innovation: Integrate digital learning platforms, promote blended learning models, and leverage AI and analytics for learning impact measurement and personalization.
  • Stakeholder and Change Management: Collaborate with plant heads, functional leaders, and HRBPs to identify learning needs and deploy solutions, while managing external partnerships and ensuring cultural transformation.
  • Governance and ROI: Define and manage the L&D budget, establish KPIs for learning effectiveness, and report outcomes to senior leadership.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Master's Degree in HR or Organizational Development, with a strong background in adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning tools.
  • 10-18 years of experience in L&D, with at least 5 years in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record in setting up MDCs/Assessment Centers and leading capability-building programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with an analytical mindset and ability to measure and communicate learning impact.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
