Frontend Software Engineer Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Frontend Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing modern, high-performance frontend applications using React, Astro, or similar frameworks.

You'll work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to build frontend experiences that empower our customers to launch and manage their quote-to-consumption solutions with ease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Modern Frontend Applications: Use React, Astro, or similar frameworks to create high-performance frontend applications.
  • Collaborate on End-to-End Feature Development: Work with the team to design and develop features from wireframes and APIs to polished UI.
  • Develop Frontend Serving Middleware Service: Use Express.js and Node.js to create a scalable frontend serving middleware service.
  • Define Clean and Scalable Interfaces: Collaborate with backend engineers to define clean and scalable interfaces.
  • Translate Complex Workflows into Elegant Interfaces: Use your expertise to translate complex workflows into elegant, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Participate in Design Discussions and Code Reviews: Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning.
  • Debug and Resolve Issues Quickly: Ensure reliability and performance by debugging and resolving issues quickly.
  • Stay Current with Emerging Frontend Technologies: Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and frameworks.
Requirements:
  • 5+ Years of Experience Building Frontend Applications: Proven experience building frontend applications in production environments.
  • Deep Expertise in React, Express.js, and Astro or Next.js: Strong understanding of React, Express.js, and either Astro or Next.js.
  • Proficient in Modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript: Familiarity with modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience Integrating with RESTful or GraphQL APIs: Experience integrating with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid Understanding of Web Performance, Security, Accessibility, and Cross-Browser Compatibility: Strong understanding of web performance, security, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Strong UX Sensibility and Attention to Detail: Excellent UX sensibility and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Workflows, Git, and Agile Software Development: Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Git, and agile software development.
  • Bonus: Experience with SSR or Backend Node.js: Optional experience with server-side rendering (SSR) or backend Node.js.
