Job Opportunity: Blockchain Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled data engineer to join our team in building the core infrastructure for real-time pricing and analytics in the DeFi space.

This role involves transforming raw on-chain data into actionable insights by decoding smart contract events and implementing pricing logic from decentralized exchanges (DEXs).

About the Role:

  • Decode event logs from major DeFi protocols (e.g., Uniswap, Curve, Balancer) to extract trade data.
  • Build and maintain efficient data pipelines that convert on-chain events into structured trade data.
  • Implement logic to calculate trade prices, including handling swap routing, liquidity pool math, and price inference.
  • Work closely with data and infra teams to optimize performance and accuracy of pricing models.
  • Write clean, well-tested, and efficient code in Go or Rust.

Requirements:

  • 2–5+ years of experience in backend development in Go or Rust.
  • Strong understanding of Ethereum smart contract ABI decoding and event logs.
  • Familiarity with EVM-based chains and Ethereum node infrastructure (e.g., Geth, Erigon, RPC APIs).
  • Experience building data extraction or indexing tools (e.g., subgraphs, custom indexers).
  • Ability to work independently and own complex systems from design to deployment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working directly with blockchain nodes or building custom RPC-based services.
  • Familiarity with price oracles and on-chain data feeds.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
  • Contributions to DeFi or crypto open-source projects.
